Informal Jewish Education

The Informal Jewish Education Department supports and complements the Jewish Studies department by organising a broad range of programmes, seminars, guest speakers and cross-curricular activities to reinforce the school's ethos of ‘Torah im Derech Eretz’.

Each year, the school hosts world-renowned speakers and hands-on workshops, as well as offering residential Shabbatonim which create a strong sense of achdus among participants. Visits further afield to Europe, Eastern Europe, Israel and USA broaden students’ knowledge of their history and culture enabling them to strengthen their identity and commitment.

The Informal Education department also organises taster trips to various Seminaries and yeshivas to assist students in deciding the appropriate institution which will broaden further their Jewish knowledge before embarking on their chosen career training.
